Tourism and Handicap Label
The “Tourisme et Handicap” certification provides customers with reliable and detailed information on the accessibility of vacation destinations, regardless of the type of disability. This national certification is awarded following an assessment of a site’s accessibility and approval by the regional commission for at least two types of disabilities (hearing, visual, intellectual, or mobility).
It is a voluntary initiative that allows...
- To identify accommodations for different types of disabilities (mobility, visual, hearing, intellectual) that benefit all guests (including seniors and children)
- To develop accessible and innovative offerings
- To promote the services of tourism professionals who foster the inclusion of people with disabilities and their integration among the general clientele.
How much does it cost?
The cost of the “Tourisme et Handicap” certification is €120 for public-access facilities (ERP) and €90 for non-ERP* facilities.
A sliding-scale fee applies for a second and third facility to obtain the certification: €70
