"Assiette Saveurs Marennes Oléron" Label

Showcasing local products on your plate!
The “Assiette Saveurs Marennes Oléron” local label brings together restaurants that choose fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients. The initiative aims to promote restaurants committed to short supply chains and to raise awareness of local producers and products, from the island of Oléron to the Marennes basin.

What are the requirements for restaurants?

Certified establishments commit, among other things, to offering 100% locally sourced oysters, seasonal fish and shellfish from local fish markets and producers, as well as produce, meats, and other food products from the department. The initiative also encourages the inclusion of local beverages and the clear identification of local products on menus or within the restaurant.

Establishments are evaluated based on a set of criteria, with certification renewed every 3 years and an annual inspection.

What are the benefits for certified establishments?

Gain visibility through a presence in the initiative’s promotional materials, including the dedicated webpage and the “Where to Eat” and “Buy Local” sections of Le Coq Trotteur, as well as the business card distributed at all tourist offices.

Showcase your commitment to customers seeking responsible consumption and a virtuous, consistent approach.

Join a network of stakeholders committed to promoting the culinary products and expertise of Marennes-Oléron, engage in exchanges with producers, and benefit from advice and support.
