The tourist office

The Tourist Office of the Ile d'Oléron and Marennes Basin is an Intercommunal Tourist Office covering the 12 communes that make up the Pays Marennes-Oléron.

The tourist office, under associative status, was created on January 1, 2015 following the mutualization of the 12 tourist offices in the Marennes-Oléron territory. The main challenges were to pool resources and develop and structure new tourism development projects for the area.

The tourist office comprises10 permanent reception desks and 4 seasonal reception desks welcoming220 000 visitors per year. The head office is located in Marennes (22 rue Dubois Meynardie 17320 Marennes-Hiers-Brouage).
