Dates & opening times
Please note: locations and times (Thursday or Friday morning) will be provided at the time of reservation
Description
Cross the historic Saumonards forest to discover its flora, fauna and the trade of the gem-growers; understand the dune formation, an essential but fragile natural bulwark against winter storms; walk along the beach, meet its inhabitants, including the most discreet, identify the treasures left in the sea leash, like so many clues to extraordinary marine life, to finish at the foot of the bouchots to lift the veil on mussel farming, under the enigmatic eye of Fort Boyard with the silhouette of La Rochelle in the distance.
Walk, pine forest, iodine and warm sand: a breath of fresh air with very natural benefits. The tour lasts 2 to 2.5 hours and must be booked in advance with the Fort Royer oyster and nature site. Tour location to be communicated upon reservation.
