Description
What is spirulina?
Spirulina is an aquatic microorganism related to algae, which gets its name from its spiral shape as seen under a microscope.
It first appeared on Earth more than 3.5 billion years ago…
An unparalleled nutritional treasure, making it an essential food.
Spiruline d’Oléron is an artisanal spirulina produced at Château d’Oléron in the heart of a preserved natural setting, sheltered by greenhouses that protect it from the elements. It is cultivated in shallow water basins from spring to fall, as it requires heat and light to grow.
An eco-friendly cultivation method between land and sea: using little water and energy, and free of pesticides, GMOs, and preservatives, all while respecting the environment.
It is packaged on the farm in accordance with the charter of the Fédération des Spiruliniers de France (quality and traceability), of which the farm is a member.
