CONCERT WITH SIMON WARIN, ORGAN
Simon Warin, organist at the Church of Saint Denis in Oléron, presents a dazzling new program in this church, ranging from Bach to symphonic works. Previously, at the age of 16, he was appointed titular organist of the main organ at St. Charles de Sedan, a position he left more than 30 years ago following the destruction of the organ.
Virtuosity and contemplation will alternate, allowing curious listeners and music lovers alike to discover the artist’s talent as well as the fantastic organ of the Church of Saint-Denis d’Oléron, a truly magnificent instrument situated directly in front of the audience.
The program features works by Bach, Böhm, Buxtehude, Gounod, Schubert, Boelmann, Widor, and others.
On September 9, an Organ and Accordion Concert featuring Sylvain Lachaise. The warm tones of the organ and accordion blend beautifully as they perform great classical pieces.
