Description

Once practiced by monks and then samurai before battle, the art of flowers has moved into the home as a means of expressing one's sensibility as a sign of welcome, celebration or meditation, in low or high ceramic vases and flowerpicks.

Considered a martial art, then a popular one, ikebana emphasizes the beauty of nature: water, wind, the season and the passage of time are the four elements that must be seen in a composition. Practice: - herbs and samplings in local nature - demonstration and theory of lengths, inclination, opening - personal work then corrective input. Duration: 3 hours. Cost: €20 to €30 depending on workshop and materials.

Children aged 8 and over.
