Your tour guide is a native German speaker. A cultural educator and historian with a Ph.D., she has been living on Oléron for five years and is now in her third season working for the Maison éco-paysanne. She is committed to preserving and passing on local knowledge.

Guided tour of the Maison éco-paysanne
Duration: 1 hour
Step inside—our traditional farmhouse will tell you its story. Set amid a lush, idyllic landscape, this museum transports you back to the daily life of our ancestors: a single living space for the whole family, the wine cellar, the barn, and the vegetable garden—much remains as it was around 1900, while other aspects have changed over time.
In our modern exhibition center, designed for children and adults ages 4 and up, you can also explore an interactive exhibition on local ecology and architecture through the centuries.
