Description

These two outstanding artists will perform the finest works from the repertoire for trumpet and organ.

On the organ is Augustin Belliot, who began by studying violin and bassoon at the Nantes Regional Conservatory, before enrolling in the composition classes at the Paris National Conservatory of Music and Dance, where he earned his Diploma of Advanced Studies with honors. Since the age of ten, Augustin has been developing a close relationship with the organ as a self-taught musician, alongside his “formal” musical studies, by providing liturgical accompaniment in the rural churches of his youth. He then completed his training under Frédéric Desenclos at the conservatories of Versailles and Orléans. He is the composer of numerous works for solo instruments, symphony orchestras, choirs, and more… For more than a decade, he has carried out most of his work in Bourges, where he teaches music theory, composition, and music history at the conservatory. He is the titular organist at Saint-Étienne Cathedral in Bourges and the artistic director of the festival *Les très riches heures de l’orgue en Berry*.

On the trumpet, you’ll hear Jean-Claude Dudek, who, from a very young age, has been truly driven by a passion for this instrument. He took his first steps in the world of music as part of his town’s small brass band, where he demonstrated remarkable artistic talent at an early age. His talent led him to enroll at the Bourges Conservatory, where he studied under the great master Pierre Pollin. He has received numerous awards, including a prestigious prize from the Paris National Conservatory of Music, as well as several degrees in music education. An accomplished musician, he has performed with numerous orchestras. For many years, he played in a brass quintet, with which he participated in numerous concerts and artistic projects. His career has taken him to perform in France and abroad, where he has undertaken major tours—notably in Japan—demonstrating his dedication and musical excellence. Today, he continues to share music with the same passion, putting his experience, expertise, and artistic sensibility at the service of the public and new generations of musicians.

The program for this exceptional concert features pieces ranging from the 10th century to the present day: Tomaso Albinoni, Leonardo Antonio Di Chiara, Georges Delerue, Grigor Narekatsi…
