In Marennes, oysters are experienced, savored, and shared. A day by the sea with producers, chefs, and curious visitors—from the oyster bed to the plate.



The day-long program features free and paid activities, a free concert by Flavia Cloelho, and a DJ set.

- La Halle des Claires - 10 a.m. > Midnight

A true gathering place and hub of the Fêtes de l’Ostra, the Halle des Claires puts the Marennes-Oléron PGI oyster and its oyster farmers at the heart of the event.



- The Market - 10 a.m. > 6 p.m.

Stroll through the farmers’ and artisans’ market to discover local treasures.



- Workshops - 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Meet various passionate members of the oyster farming community and take part in our many workshops designed for all ages! Games, workshops, readings, storytelling...



- The Hut - 10 a.m. > 6 p.m.

A space where the oyster farmers and refiners of Marennes-Oléron invite you to (re)discover their world, life in the marshes, and their craft. Take the time to chat, ask questions, and test your knowledge!



- In the Heart of the Oyster Beds - 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

The area surrounding the Fêtes de l’Ostra site is bustling with all kinds of activities… Set out to explore the oyster beds through a variety of activities accessible on foot from the event: guided tours, an oyster-bed placement competition, and a meet-and-greet with the SNSM lifeguards.

A one-hour tasting journey led by an expert: sample four varieties of Marennes-Oléron IGP and Label Rouge oysters to immerse yourself in a rich and surprising world of flavors.

Dare to discover the perfect pairing: two exceptional products for a unique experience. For 30 minutes, Marennes Oléron IGP oysters are paired with other products bearing official quality certifications, guided by culinary experts.

Renowned chefs take you on a journey through their culinary worlds: creative recipes and unexpected pairings, for an exclusive encounter between a chef, Marennes Oléron IGP oysters, and you.



- Boat Tour - By reservation at 07 62 50 21 75 · starting at €6 · 48 seats

Damien, who has loved the sea for over twenty years, and his partner Pauline will help you discover the magnificent Marennes Oléron basin. Climb aboard a fully covered catamaran for a one-hour cruise!





CONCERTS:

9:30 p.m. - Flavia Coelho Soundsystem

A Franco-Brazilian artist based between Rio and Paris, Flavia Coelho blends Brazilian popular music with reggae, cumbia, funk, and electronic music. Her warm voice and sunny groove have captivated audiences around the world.

In her soundsystem format, she’ll take the stage with deep bass, samples, and fast-paced rhythms for a festive and energetic set—the perfect invitation to dance by the water.



11:00 PM - Yoozü DJ set

Following Flavia Coelho’s set, Yoozü takes over the turntables from 11:00 PM to midnight to wrap up the party. A fresh sound, hailing from Île de Ré! Inspired by electronic music textures, where groove and modernity collide.

With a sound all his own, both on stage and in the studio, his club-oriented approach—enriched with retro and disco elements—shapes the energy of his productions. He’s part of a new generation of artists redefining the rules, infusing each creation with boldness.



FOOD & DRINK

Enjoy a meal on-site or check out the restaurants at the Marennes harbor. Food trucks will also be there to treat you to something delicious—with something to satisfy every taste!

An oyster and mussel tasting hut at the Port de la Cayenne. A family-run business that raises its own mussels, both on ropes and on bouchot stakes.
