A village of creators like no other: some thirty artists and craftsmen, on the generous impulse of the Château d'Oléron town council, have set up their workshops in former oyster huts and welcome you all year round to this exceptional site.

Here, oyster farmers and designers rub shoulders, all in love with their place of work, and this unexpected proximity is just one of the charms of a place teeming with discoveries.

Don't hesitate to stroll along the channels - where barges laden with bags of oysters still circulate - and push open the doors of the workshops; you'll discover unique worlds, a wide variety of crafts and materials, and above all, enthusiasts with more than one skill in their bag: painting, sculpture, ceramics or cutlery, but also lutherie, jewelry, embroidery, lacemaking, origami, stained-glass art, sewing, table-making, matelotage, leatherwork or illumination, to name but a few.
