Plage de la Phibie

Situated behind the beach at Château d'Oléron, the water in the "La Phibie" seawater basin is renewed at every spring tide, so there are no waves or currents for children to enjoy. A diving board is available for those who know how to swim, as it is located in a deeper area. The shaded rest area is accessible all year round via a wooden walkway, even for people with reduced mobility. 1 Tiralo is available from the lifeguards, thanks to the efforts of CEPMO high school students. Children's games are available next to the shaded rest area. A snack bar is open from April to September (weekends in off-season and every day in July and August: sweet, savoury, hot and cold drinks). Beach cabins and a reading cabin are available from April to September and accessible to all. A summer shuttle bus stop is located 200 m from the lake. The lake can be reached on foot via the pedestrian path along the town's ramparts, by bike via the cycle path that runs alongside the parking lot, or by car, with free parking in the immediate vicinity.
