Saint-Denis d'Oléron is the northernmost town on the island of Oléron. With a capacity of 750 boats, it boasts the island’s largest marina. Right nearby is La Boirie Beach, easily recognizable by its many colorful beach huts—an ideal swimming spot for families.
With the aim of raising the profile of the Marennes-Oléron region, the webcams at Les Huttes, La Cotinière, and the Chassiron Lighthouse were co-financed by the European Union through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and the Community of Communes of Île d’Oléron. The webcams in Saint-Trojan-les-Bains and Saint-Denis d’Oléron, meanwhile, were co-financed as part of the New Territorial Tourism Organization (NOTT) project implemented by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
