After taking a narrow spiral staircase and climbing 289 steps, you can admire the exceptional panorama of the Marennes basin and beyond, on a clear day (Ile d'Oléron, Ile d'Aix, Fort Boyard, the Seudre bridge, the La Cayenne channel, La Tremblade, Ronce Les Bains, the marshes, the claires basins, Rochefort, etc.). The church and its bell tower, along with the oysters, are the emblematic symbols of Marennes and contribute to its renown. Enjoy your visit!
