Embark on a journey through time with the mill tour in Saint-Denis d’Oléron, an experience offered as part of Heritage Days, which highlights the theme of endangered heritage.
This 9.2-km hiking trail, which takes about 2 hours and 20 minutes to complete, invites you to explore the area and discover the old mills that once sustained the village.
Along the way, you’ll come across the remains of some mills that are still visible, while others survive only in people’s memories. This walk, which can be done on foot or by bike, allows you to explore at your own pace and on your own.
