Eric de Buncey: A Versatile Artist



Eric de Buncey was born in Paris and divides his time between Alsace and Normandy. As a sculptor, he works directly with stone as well as wood. His preferred medium is marble, primarily black Belgian marble, which he frequently combines with other materials such as wood, steel, or aluminum. More recently, he has begun painting, first with acrylics and pigments, and later with ink. At the same time, he writes poetry. In his practice, he gets to the heart of the matter. He simplifies lines, thereby creating very personal, refined forms. The result is powerful, instinctive, and full of delicacy.



Claire Crétu, Sculptor: “There are more stars in the universe than grains of sand on Earth...” Is life a mystery? Is it absurd? In theory, I’ve chosen to let go, to trust, to move forward. I breathe: “to draw inspiration, to express myself.” I seek strength, energy, and breath; I try to bring to light a fragility, a moment, an emotion. I seek balance; I find it in movement and in respect for all living things. My artistic approach is intimately linked to this path, along which I journey first and foremost to discover who I am.



For Géraud Vogt, painting is a form of inquiry. The canvas is the instrument of investigation. More than a simple surface, it is a field that extends to the scale of the body. Gravity exerts its pull there, drawing together both of its elements—the material and the immaterial. The whole reflects and adjusts itself reciprocally according to laws that shape existences. It is within this space-time that the artist formulates his response, which, in his view, is as old as the art of creating the world.



Benoît Déchelle, painter: Trained as an illustrator, Benoît Déchelle has created several children’s picture books. About fifteen years ago, he transitioned from drawing on paper to working with acrylics on canvas.  This shift has allowed him to explore large formats and delve deeper into materials. His most frequently exhibited paintings are his “stuck animals,” a contortionist-style fauna. This offbeat bestiary also raises questions about the place reserved for animals on our battered planet. In addition, Benoît Déchelle explores the human condition through portraiture and caricature. This is another artistic journey that allows him to pay homage to his favorite artists. Humor and the study of facial expressions frequently make up his creative palette.



MALO A.: An animal artist who expresses herself through a fairly graphic painting technique reminiscent of hyperrealism. Her art can be summed up as a skillful blend of traditional techniques applied to modern creations, bringing to life paintings on wood gilded with gold leaf (reminiscent of certain Japanese works or icons); In doing so, she seems to invite us to revere nature, which is so often mistreated by human beings. Her paintings immerse us in a dreamlike world, and her backgrounds complement the depicted animal, inviting us to share its dreams and, perhaps, finally look in the same direction.



PATRASCU Patrick: At the crossroads of dreams and the sacred, his work transcends mere aesthetic exploration. Each creation becomes a means of exploring deep emotions and revealing inner narratives inspired by his perception of the world around him. In reality, it is futile to try to express through language—through adjectives—what Patrick PATRASCU conveys through his painting. He is a poet who paints; he is a painter who becomes a poet. We must therefore read his paintings and try to follow him on his own journey. Art thus takes on its full meaning and helps awaken our own senses.



Mireille GODBILLE: It all begins with splashes of color, shapes, and broad, rhythmic strokes. A beautiful energy fuels the artist’s highly personal creations, as he sculpts the medium and seeks depth, contrasts, and transparencies to bring the colors to life in relation to one another. The marine element, nature, and the human figure appear uninvited, guided only by the unconscious. Conveying emotions through personal compositions.



BEÏU Stefan: Distinguished by a unique pictorial approach that blends classical heritage with a rich imagination. His work invites us to rediscover the great masters through a resolutely contemporary and daring perspective. His canvases resemble rebuses, visual labyrinths where the eye wanders as if through a multi-voiced narrative. Nothing is merely decorative; everything is storytelling.



FRUGIER Françoise: Her work focuses on three-dimensional forms and the movement of humans and animals. Artistic approach: careful and repeated observation of live models, allowing the artist to capture the moment of transition between heaviness and agility. This is followed by drawing and then the creation of volume through modeling. Finishes: traditional patinas reminiscent of bronze, or watercolor for a translucent effect
