Oregon, 1933. After his wife’s death, Samuel Murphy is torn away from his daughter and sent to a ruthless labor camp. When an unscrupulous guard promises him freedom in exchange for a perilous mission to smuggle gold, Murphy seizes his only chance to return home. He then embarks on a perilous expedition into the heart of a hostile wilderness, where betrayals abound. How far will Murphy be willing to go to see his daughter again?
