Renovating Your Home: Understanding the Basics of an Efficient and Sustainable Renovation.



Training session led by TIPEE – Sustainable Building Technology Platform in Lagord.



This training course is designed for homeowners looking to undertake renovation work, providing them with the essential knowledge needed to plan a well-rounded project.



Topics covered include:

– Energy and environmental challenges related to home renovation

– The main sources of energy loss in a home

– The principles of an energy-efficient renovation

– The main areas of work (wall insulation, airtightness, windows and doors, ventilation, heating) and how they interact.

– The characteristics and benefits of bio-based insulation materials in renovation projects



This event is organized by CAUE 17 as part of the “Habiter demain en Charente-Maritime” (Living in Charente-Maritime Tomorrow) program (2025–2027), which aims to promote the exchange of best practices, the sharing of innovative solutions, and collective reflection on local housing issues.
