Concert de Noël par l'Orchestre Symphonique des Vals de Saintonge
Dates & opening times
Description
As the holiday season approaches, the Vals de Saintonge Symphony Orchestra will present a concert on Friday, December 11, at the Château d’Oléron, celebrating diversity and the joy of music shared by all.
The program will take the audience on a journey through the ages and across musical worlds, from the great classical masters to film scores and more contemporary works. Audience members will be able to enjoy the elegance of Corelli’s Christmas Concerto, or Tchaikovsky’s famous “Waltz of the Flowers,” alongside such iconic tunes as the unforgettable music of Ennio Morricone and Sting’s lively “Roxanne,” made famous by the film *Moulin Rouge*.
This mix of symphonic works, stage music, and popular melodies will give the concert a festive and convivial atmosphere, perfect for getting into the holiday spirit. The traditional encore of the Radetzky March should round out the evening in a particularly warm and interactive atmosphere. Something to delight every ear!
Founded exactly (and already!) 20 years ago in Saint-Savinien under the direction of Francis Gardré, and recognized for many years by the Charente-Maritime Department, the OSVS has gradually established itself as a major local cultural force. Today, the orchestra brings together experienced amateur musicians, young instrumentalists, and professionals around a shared goal: to bring symphonic music to life in rural areas and make it accessible to as many people as possible through varied programs open to all audiences.
Join us on December 11 at 8:30 p.m. to celebrate the end of the year with music from the OSVS!
