Cut BACK is a short film festival organized by the Île d’Oléron Community of Communes, the Léo Lagrange Federation, and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Federation of MJC. On October 17, 2026, the festival will celebrate its 11th anniversary!
For many years now, the CUT BACK festival has offered young filmmakers aged 11 to 18 who live in Nouvelle-Aquitaine a unique opportunity to present the fruits of their labor to an audience eager to see the emergence of budding directors, screenwriters, cinematographers, and editors… Whether they’re community, school, or personal projects—in the form of documentaries or fiction—all forms of expression will be screened on October 17.
But that’s not all! The CUT BACK festival is also a chance to discover careers in film and, for the first time this year, an opportunity to showcase your talent as a graphic designer.
The patron of this 11th edition, Laurie Bordesoules—actress in *Plus Belle la Vie* and *Alceste à bicyclette*—will be in attendance.
Come vote for your favorite short film. Introductions to film careers for young people are available by reservation.
