Les Bains
Dates & opening times
Description
Les Bains Café Restaurant is a true gathering place for boaters, maritime professionals, and ocean enthusiasts. In a relaxed atmosphere with cozy decor, Sandrine and Pierrick aim to showcase local products. A large covered terrace overlooks the channel—perfect for coffee, lunch, or dinner—and offers an ideal vantage point to admire maritime life.
Pierrick puts his own spin on regional cuisine, and everything is made entirely in-house. The menu features fish exclusively from La Cotinière, oysters from Fort Royer, vegetables from Oléron… and the traditional “choucroute de la mer” (seafood sauerkraut). As for desserts, you can enjoy profiteroles or lime cheesecake… A must-visit at the Boyardville harbor! The wine cellar features around thirty selections from local producers and classified Grand Crus.
The café and terrace are open all day; you can even order breakfast to enjoy the sunrise and the lapping of the water…
Ideally located, the restaurant is just a stone’s throw from the marina, where cruise ships depart for La Rochelle, Île d’Aix, and Fort Boyard. On the other side of the channel, the small oyster port of Fort Royer borders the nature reserve and the oyster beds. As for nature, with the natural golf course offering ocean views nearby, as well as the starting points for bike paths and hiking trails winding through the vast Saumonards National Forest… you’ll get your fill of fresh air. For relaxation, you’re just 5 minutes from the large, fine-sand beach offering breathtaking views of Fort Boyard, La Rochelle, and the islands of Aix and Ré! Not to mention the many water sports available at the harbor and through the sailing school… it’s all here!
