The Chassiron Lighthouse - Live
View from the top of the Chassiron lighthouse
The Chassiron lighthouse is located at the northern tip of the island of Oleron. With its 224 steps and 46 metres in height, it offers a unique panorama of the island of Oleron, the Antioche beacon, La Rochelle, the islands of Ré and Aix and of course the ocean.
With the aim of giving greater visibility to the Marennes Oléron area, the webcams of Les Huttes, La Cotinière and the Chassiron lighthouse were co-financed by the European Union with the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and the Communauté de communes de l'Île d'Oléron. The webcams of Saint-Trojan-les-Bains and Saint-Denis d'Oléron were co-financed as part of the New Territorial Tourist Organisation (NOTT) project set up by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
