This building is the only one of Brouage's ten guardhouses still standing today. It houses an exhibition dedicated to Samuel Champlain and a boutique workshop dedicated to arts and crafts.

Description

This house, nestled in the Hiers bastion, was one of the ten guardhouses that Brouage once had. The building served as a resting place and shelter for soldiers on duty.



Since 2018, it has been an exhibition space dedicated to Samuel Champlain, the Brouage-born explorer and founder of Quebec City. It is also a workshop dedicated to arts and crafts.
