Description

This activity offers an introduction to marsh and coastal birdwatching, accessible to all ages 7 and over. Set up in a fixed spot, participants take the time to observe the species present without disturbing them, in an approach respectful of wildlife and its environment. Using spotting scopes and adapted observation equipment, everyone can admire the birds up close and discover their behavior: feeding, movements, resting or interactions between individuals. The guide accompanies the observations with simple recognition keys, enabling the most common species to be identified on the basis of criteria accessible to all: size, shape, colors, silhouettes, attitudes or habitats. The group is deliberately limited to 8 people, to guarantee the quality of exchanges, comfort of observation and greater attention paid to everyone, especially children. Explanations are adapted to the audience, alternating observation time with discussion and anecdotes, to maintain interest and promote understanding. This activity is ideal for discovering the ornithological wealth of the marshes and coastline, developing your sense of observation and taking a closer look at the nature that surrounds us, in a calm and friendly atmosphere.
