From yesterday's port to today's artists
Dates & opening times
Description
Start your visit with a privileged meeting with three art craftsmen installed in the cabins of the Château d'Oléron harbor. Jewelry, sculpture, painting, engraving, calligraphy, textiles, leather or embroidery: the range of skills on offer is endless. For a few moments, they'll open the doors of their workshops and share their worlds and techniques with you. The walk then continues along the harbor to discover its history over the centuries: a former oyster-farming port, it remains a lively production site today, welcoming artists and craftsmen to its colorful old huts. Tour departs from the children's carousel - Avenue du Port.
