La Cité de l'Huître est ouverte du 30 mars à la fin des vacances de Toussaint:
- Vacances scolaires Pâques et Toussaint (toutes zones confondues) : Tous les jours de 10h30 à 18h
- Vacances d’été : Tous les jours de 10h à 19h
- Hors vacances scolaires : Du mercredi au dimanche de 10h30 à 18h (fermé lundi et mardi)
Descriptif
The Cité de l'Huître is a discovery hub for oyster farming in Charente Maritime. In the heart of the largest oyster refining marsh in Europe, its huts immerse you in the world of this shellfish, oyster farming, its people, and their history.
You will be amazed by the richness of the marsh of Charente Maritime and Marennes Oléron, carried away by the film on the big screen as an air and land journey.
For children: painting on oyster shells, tiles to catch crabs, sea bream to feed, water cannon games.
All day, activities for the whole family: introduction to the opening of oysters, animated visit of an oyster farm, bike ride.
