Equipped with a flotilla of around a hundred small-scale fishing boats, the fishing port of La Cotinière is ranked as the leading port in Charente-Maritime. More than 90 species of fish and shellfish are landed here every year, mainly noble species.

During your visit, your guide will show you all the assets that make La Cotinière a constantly evolving port, such as the diversity of fishing areas and techniques, which change with the seasons.
Tickets on sale online or direct from the various Marennes-Oléron tourist offices.
How to find the guide?
From the comptoir de la mer parking lot, parking limited to 2 hours in the blue zone, on presentation of a blue disc.
(2, route touristique de Matha). Opposite the "Comptoir de la Mer" store, turn left (pedestrian access only), follow the newly tarmacked road, past the traffic circle with the anchor. Ignore the "forbidden to the public" signs and go through the rising barrier. Continue to the foot of the stairs. Your guide, with badge, awaits you.
Please bring sun/rain clothing and accessories, and a bottle of water. Bicycles are not allowed in the port area. Bicycle parking is available on the left just before the lift gate leading down to the port.
