Descriptif

Equipped with a flotilla of around a hundred small-scale fishing boats, the fishing port of La Cotinière is ranked as the leading port in Charente-Maritime. More than 90 species of fish and shellfish are landed here every year, mainly noble species.

During your visit, your guide will show you all the assets that make La Cotinière a constantly evolving port, such as the diversity of fishing areas and techniques, which change with the seasons.

How to find the guide?

Opposite the "Comptoir de la Mer" store, turn left (pedestrian access only), follow the tarmac road, past the traffic circle with the anchor. Ignore the "forbidden to the public" signs and go through the rising barrier. Continue to the foot of the stairs. Your guide, with badge, awaits you.



Where to park?

- Quai René Delouteau parking lot (next to the chapel, in place of the former fish auction). Paid parking from March 20 to November 11. Allow a 15-minute walk to reach the meeting point for tours.

- Free grassed parking lot

This parking lot is located at the corner of route des mourauds and rue du Colombier. Allow a 15-minute walk to reach the tour meeting point.



Please bring sun/rain clothing and accessories, and a bottle of water. Bicycles are not allowed in the port area. Bicycle parking is available on the left just before the lift gate leading down to the port.
