Théâtre d'ardoise -Yves Jamait + 1ère partie
Dates & opening times
Descriptif
8pm - Part 1: Melvin dans les nuages
Melvin, a handsome local lad, had already made a hit with his repertoire of French songs, opening for La "légende" Murray Head coming to the Théâtre d'Ardoise on August 13, 2019.
He's back again tonight, opening for Yves Jamait, of whom he admits he's been an absolute fan since his first guitar chords.
9:30 pm: Yves Jamait - Chansons Françaises
Yves Jamait, or the best-kept secret of French chanson.
After a career spanning 20 years, the Dijon-born singer is not exactly favored by the "grandes ondes". But this relative secrecy hasn't stopped the former factory worker, who produced his first album with his redundancy money, from collecting gold discs and sold-out concerts at the Olympia.
With his gavroche cap screwed on his head, he tells in his hoarse voice of setbacks in love, of lives at an angle. This everyday poet has a knack for juggling words, humor and tragedy, to jazz, rock, musette or tango melodies, somewhere between Renaud, Les Têtes Raides and Maxime Le Forestier, one of his great references.
On stage, the man knows how to warm up a room and hearts, complicit with his musicians and audience alike. In short, a popular singer in the noblest sense of the word.
