Cécile EVROT's encounter with flamenco at the age of fifteen was a revelation. Trained as a pianist, she instinctively turned to singing. She then trained in Spain with singers José Mendez (Jerez) and Juan José Amador (Sevilla), and forged her experience accompanying dance with Carmen Ledesma and Pilar Montoya "La Faraona". In 2021, she was invited by director Tony Gatlif to sing for the presentation of his film Tom Medina at the Cannes Film Festival. She performs regularly in France and abroad.
Emmanuelle MARTIN is a reference in France and Europe in the field of traditional and sacred classical music from South India, Carnatic music. She spent 10 years in Chennai, India, where she devoted herself to learning this music from one of the greatest masters of this tradition, Shri T.M Krishna. She travels between India, Europe and the United States, where she gives concerts. In January 2016, she joined Ariane Mouchkine and the Théâtre du Soleil troupe to train actors in Carnatic singing and music.
Cristobal CORBEL: Deeply flamenco, Cristóbal Corbel invites us into his world of creatively original melodies.
Venkat KRISHNAN: As a musician and percussionist playing the Mridangam (a two-skin drum from southern India), Venkat Krishnan is a follower of a style characterized by finesse, nuance and timbre.

A story of encounters
The adventure was born in 2021 from the meeting of two musicians, Aziz SAHMAOUI and Eric LONGSWORTH, one from the Maghreb and the other from the West, whose respective artistic paths are based on the same guideline: the link and openness to others, the creation of bridges between cultures. World music with jazz chords, sometimes blues, sometimes folk, and songs written and sung in Arabic or French, and sometimes in an imaginary language, evoke this kind of borderless journey.
Aziz SAHMAOUI, founder of the Orchestre National de Barbès, leader of the group University of Gnawa and Eric LONGSWORTH, composer, cellist, explorer, an American in France. Both are artists who are said to be rare and unclassifiable, having developed such a wide range of musical expressions. The delicate, powerful tones of the mandola and cello blend with precision and boldness to serve Aziz's poetic lyrics and bewitching voice. Adhil MIRGHANI's percussion enriches the palette of sounds.
