Mirror of the ocean exhibition - Arnaud Kasper
Dates & opening times
Description
Arnaud Kasper is an internationally renowned artist, born in Paris and based in Asnières-sur-Seine. Since 2023, he has been creating his 'Bois des Arts' sculpture park in the Véxin Français regional nature park, renowned for his monumental equestrian sculptures and anthropomorphic figures. His artistic universe, where maritime, mythological and animal themes meet, seduces with its expressive force and poetic dimension. Through sculptures, paintings and creations in molten glass, Miroir de l'Océan offers a sensitive immersion in a dialogue between man and the sea.
An avid sailor and deeply attached to the marine world, the artist draws on this intimate relationship as a source of inspiration that enriches all his work. In the 2000s, the artist created the concept of the mythical Man-Fish, which he then transformed into totems.
Presented in the heritage setting of the Château de Bonnemie, this event offers visitors a privileged encounter with a contemporary work of international stature on the island of Oléron. Arnaud Kasper received the Prix Taylor for his work 'La Colonne du Savoir' awarded in 2025 by the Fondation Taylor at the Salon Art Capital at the Grand Palais in Paris.
