Description

I live and create on the Ile d'Oléron, a place that nourishes my artistic sensibility every day. Here, where the light differs according to the time of day, where the sea-spray-laden wind sculpts the dunes and pine trees, nature invites me to paint not what I see, but what I feel. Painting has long been my mother tongue, a wordless means of expression where colors unite to give voice to my emotions. I don't paint the world as it is, but as it is first and foremost felt: vibrant, ephemeral, elemental. It is this intimate relationship with the moment that naturally led me to Impressionism, with which I share this quest for light, this fascination for the play of shadows and those suspended moments that only the patient eye can truly capture. Each painting is an attempt to capture the poetry of a moment, not in its precision, but in its impression.
