Description

This day celebrates the maritime heritage of the Charente and Vendée channels through a unique gathering of traditional sailboats. Some 30 wooden workboats, ranging from 3 to 20 meters in length - sloops, lasses, fishing cutters and sailboats - will sail together. Many of them are classified as historic monuments or recognized as boats of heritage interest, living witnesses to the skills of marine carpenters.



- Thursday, May 14, 2026 From 3:30 pm - Parade in front of Boyardville harbor **CANCELLED** **Due to the weather conditions forecast for Thursday, May 14 (wind ONO 20-25 kts - gusts to 30 kts in front of Boyardville around 3 pm and for most of the afternoon), the PNCM organizing team has decided to CANCEL THE PARADE IN FRONT OF BOYARDVILLE. ** Boats will return directly from the opening of the lock at 1:00 pm. Small boats will launch directly in Boyardville harbor in the afternoon.



The shore team will be on hand to man the stands and welcome you.



The inauguration of this event will take place from 6.30pm behind the harbour master's office, with a welcome drink offered by the St Georges d'Oléron town hall.
