The theme of this 21st edition of the festival will be : Loti in the Mediterranean.
The closing concert pays tribute to Maurice Ravel. A genius of orchestration, Basque zortzico rhythms, lots of light and hints of the First World War,
a truck named "Adélaïde", a pantoum based on the word "pantoufle", a polite refusal of the Legion of Honor, anarchists everywhere, a childlike collection of mechanical toys!
Opération M.A.U.R.I.C.E is a program built around Ravel's Trio for piano, violin and cello, revealing the delicate, subtle notes of his so-called impressionist music. With influences ranging from Couperin to the colors and rhythms of jazz, this musical spectacle reveals the great composer's immense love of Spain, celebrated in 2025, and his stubborn desire to take part in the First World War.
Seven performers tell the story of two intertwined destinies: that of Maurice Ravel and his determination to fight at the front in 14-18, and that of Maurice Joyeux, militant anarchist and deserter in 39-45.
