Description
The 2026 edition of the Île à Rire festival promises a unique atmosphere in the heart of Saint-Denis d'Oléron, with a rich and interactive program. From May 15 to 16, no fewer than twelve free shows and events will be staged in the market square, the Escale hall, the port and La Boirie beach: face-painting workshops, laughter yoga sessions, comedy stages, joke contests and street performances will delight young and old alike. Every evening, the port stage will host a free concert, while the Escale will offer comedy evenings for a fee. Between the laughter, the cultural exhibition, the "Bar à huîtres" (oyster bar) and the non-stop catering, everything is in place for a festive and gourmet weekend by the water. A not-to-be-missed event celebrating humor, music and island conviviality.
