Fanny Libel sculpture exhibition

Description

Using sculptural and assemblage techniques, I create a world populated by poetic characters who, in their own way, recount moments in life. I like them to awaken positive emotions and bring a smile to those who observe them, as a bulwark against gloom. I work from reclaimed natural materials such as wood, driftwood, hessian, papier-mâché... I draw my inspiration from the different forms of driftwood, which guide me and motivate me to continue transforming them to create my characters.

Papier mâché, hessian and natural pigments for color are sometimes used to reconstruct and embellish the bodies. I invest in my artistic approach by recycling, transforming and enhancing these materials to give them a second life.
