Descriptif

This traveling exhibition, co-produced by the Cité de l'architecture et du Patrimoine, the Centre des monuments nationaux, the City of Royan and the Charente-Maritime CAUE, presents the singularity of seaside architecture and urban planning in France, with reference to foreign examples. It also traces the evolution of society and its relationship with the coast through cult objects. Adapted to the Musée de l'ile d'Oléron, it presents collections linked to the theme of sea bathing.
