Sylvie Marcillaud's paintings sometimes evoke a landscape atmosphere: channels, ocean, flowers and plants, sometimes moving silhouettes captured in the rhythm of shows.



After graduating from ENSAA Duperré in Paris, Sylvie Marcillaud worked as a textile and accessories designer for Christian Dior. Motivated by a desire to create more independently, she then opened her own boutique, where she created her own line of clothing for ten years.

A change of location and life: back in Périgord, brushes and paint become a means of artistic expression.



With the liveliness and subtlety of watercolor, she rediscovers the outline of bodies - the main theme of her work - capturing an emotion, a movement. This work continues with oil painting, where the body is revealed beneath fabrics. With the desire to work spontaneously, she leaves the studio to sketch scenes from live performances on stage or on location.



Since her childhood, the island of Oléron has been a place of inspiration, where light, color and landscapes invite themselves into her pictorial and textile creations.
