Description

Anita Conti got her taste for the sea on the island of Oléron during the 14-18 war. It was there that she began to take her first photos. Boats and fishing were to become her passion and profession. She spent her whole life at sea, gaining acceptance in a traditionally masculine environment. The French government commissioned her to study the oceans and fishing. Anita was the first to sound the alarm on overfishing. A destiny and links with Oleron to be rediscovered through archive photos.
