Description

Women and Tiresias in the Odyssey At a time when taking the time to read is becoming increasingly rare, I think it's essential to make texts like the Odyssey heard. With a language that is precise, profound, majestic, rich in learning, sonorous and contains the whole of human psychology. In other words, in this long poem that is the Odyssey, we find wise counsel delivered, life with all the situations it entails. Homer was quite a visionary. The Odyssey is one of the two founding poems of ancient Greek culture, and one of the masterpieces of world literature. Hence the importance of making it heard, or at least certain passages. We'll be meeting for a reading this summer on July 13 and August 6 at 8:30 p.m. On the pontoon, next to the sailing club or at the sailing club. Reservations required at the tourist office.
