Descriptif
We look forward to welcoming you in 2024!
Saint-Georges d'Oléron is delighted to be hosting the 35th edition of the Saint-Georges de France gathering. It's an opportunity for communes with the same name in France and Europe to get together. It's also an opportunity to meet, exchange ideas, make discoveries, enjoy conviviality and friendship, and of course, to celebrate.
Over the 3 days of May 31, June 1 and 2, you'll be able to discover our commune, which at 4800 hectares is the largest on the island. It crosses the island from east to west, and includes 10 villages. Large beaches and numerous natural areas such as marshes, forests and dunes complete the landscape. Saint-Georges d'Oléron, a land of wine, farming, oyster and salt production, will delight you with its superb local produce.
Numerous excursions are organized to help you discover our island territory. On foot, by bike, by motorcycle or by bus, you can soak up the charm of our island and visit its emblematic sites: Boyardville and Fort Boyard, the Chassiron lighthouse, the port of La Cotinière, the castle citadel, the Moulin de la Brée or the Romanesque church of Saint-Georges.
Enjoy your Saint-Georges festival and your stay in Oléron!
