Description

Throughout his life, Patrick DUFOSSÉ has nurtured two passions: music and astronomy. An organist for over 50 years, he founded the Aria 415 ensemble in 2003 to promote the appreciation and appreciation of early and baroque music. Alongside his teaching career, he has run an astronomy club, enabling several generations to observe and learn more and more about the sky that surrounds us. Through these different passions, Patrick DUFOSSÉ is above all driven by pedagogy, in other words, by the desire and joy of passing on his knowledge. It's the same approach that motivates him in the lecture-concert he invites you to this summer in Dolus. His aim is to make the organ better known, and in particular the Dolus organ, which he will use to illustrate the various aspects of his lecture. Very often, the public only perceives the pipes of this instrument (that's what we see the most). The keyboard is often hidden away in an inaccessible console, and many are unaware that an organist also plays with his feet. Few people know the history of this instrument, its country of origin, the different forms it has taken over the centuries... and above all, everything that goes on behind the pipes and that we don't see... With his omnipresent humor, a wealth of anecdotes, lovingly polished visual aids and skilfully selected musical examples, Patrick DUFOSSÉ invites you on a journey to the heart of the organ from which you won't escape unscathed.
