Description
This day-long event celebrates the maritime heritage of the Charente and Vendée channels, with a unique gathering of traditional sailboats. Some 30 wooden workboats, ranging from 3 to 20 meters in length - sloops, lasses, fishing cutters and sailboats - will be sailing together. Many of them are classified as historic monuments or recognized as boats of heritage interest, living witnesses to the skills of marine carpenters. Program: 2pm-5pm: event village - association and environmental stands, exhibitions, seamanship demonstrations, music and family entertainment.
2:30 pm - 5:30 pm: Captain Mike show 5:00 pm: Sailboats gradually arrive 5:30 pm: Commented nautical parade in front of the harbor 6:00 pm: Boats enter the harbor and visit the pontoons until 7:00 pm 9:00 pm: Grand closing concert with Rocky Candy Free - Open to all. Between historic flotillas, maritime gestures of yesteryear and a festive atmosphere, "Fleuves, Îles et Pertuis" promises a convivial day at the heart of Charente's maritime heritage.
