Painting exhibition - Jean-Louis Bonamy
Dates & opening times
Description
Born in 1950 in Rochefort, Jean-Louis Bonamy is a painter whose career reflects a constant and passionate exploration of pictorial expression. Trained at the Yves Derval School of Decoration in Surgères and then at the École Supérieure d’Art Moderne in Paris, he acquired a solid technical mastery early on, serving a strong artistic sensibility.
For over forty-five years, he has devoted himself entirely to painting. Based in Saint-Denis-d’Oléron, where he has his studio-gallery, he has developed a rich body of work exploring various techniques, with a predilection for oil on canvas, but also works on wood and experiments on and under glass.
Over time, his work has evolved towards a more structured and resolutely abstract style. Gradually moving away from the expressive figuration of his early work, he now offers a freer, more refined, and more personal pictorial language.
A renowned artist, Jean-Louis Bonamy is a member of the Maison des Artistes, a member of the Société des Artistes Français, and listed by the I-CAC. He has exhibited in France and internationally, notably in Belgium, Switzerland, and Russia, and regularly participates in major art fairs and events.
This exhibition at the Château de Bonnemie offers the opportunity to discover a rich artistic journey and a constantly evolving body of work.
