Le Grenier à sel à La Brée les Bains

Located in the heart of the Ile d'Oléron for the past 7 years in a protected area home to exceptional flora and fauna, Le Cristal du Saulnier saw the white gold being formed once again in 2011 after several decades of inactivity.

Our hand-harvested, artisanal process is the fruit of age-old know-how that respects both man and the environment, and the alchemy of wind, sun and ocean. With this in mind, Cristal du Saulnier offers you a raw salt that is neither washed nor treated, naturally dried and topped up with organic spices and aromatics.



In the same spirit, this year we developed our Pasta IØ pasta, produced in our workshop on the island of Oléron, with durum wheat semolina from the Charentes region.



We offer 5 visits a day: at 10.30am, 11.30am, 4pm, 5pm and 6pm.

Bring comfortable clothing (closed shoes, cap) and water.

We recommend arriving 15 minutes before the tour at the marsh sales hut.

Accessible by bike or car. No reservation required.
