Descriptif

L'Ecuissière beach lies between the Rémigeasse and Vertbois beaches. Bordered by the St-Trojan national forest, it invites you to take a stroll or go jogging on its sports trail. It's one of the few beaches in Oléron with a parking area overlooking the sea. At high tide, a large rocky foreshore emerges where anglers can pick up cockles and tellin, and children can catch a few crabs! The fish lock, the most southerly on the island, is also well worth a visit. An explanatory panel explains the workings and history of these fisheries. At high tide, you can swim and even surf. Unsupervised beach.
