Circuit pédestre: Plongée dans le monde maritime de Bourcefranc-Le Chapus

This walk will introduce you to the world of oyster farming in the Marennes Oléron basin. In fact, Le Chapus is the leading oyster port in Charente-Maritime! You'll pass numerous oyster maturing barns, pass through oyster farms and, depending on the tide, see the barges leaving and returning from their pens and taking to the channel. You'll also discover the history of the Vieux Chapus district, a 15th-century fishing and seafaring village of low-slung houses and narrow streets.
