Description
La Cuisine des Auteurs is a gourmet theatrical caravan show conceived and performed by Jérôme Pouly, a former member of the Comédie-Française. It's an epicurean proposition, an invitation to discover the links between the great authors of French literature and our gastronomic heritage.
Jérôme Pouly takes on the role of Ripaille, a Rabelaisian character who distills texts by authors such as Dumas, Colette, Baudelaire, Hugo, Balzac, Maupassant, Proust and Brillat-Savarin, with greed and humor...
Navigating between interpretation and improvisation, he establishes a genuine exchange with the audience while cooking an appetizer for them with local produce fresh from the markets. After the performance, the taste of words mingles with the taste of food in a convivial meeting between the audience, the actor and the guest producers over a tasting of local produce.
