Festival BD Oléron - 2nd edition
Dates & opening times
Description
The BD Oléron Festival returns for its 2ᵉ edition from June 8 to 14, with an entire week dedicated to comics, creation and sharing across the island. From June 8 to 12, the BD Oléron Tour sets up in four communes: Saint-Denis d'Oléron, Saint-Pierre d'Oléron, Le Château d'Oléron and Dolus-d'Oléron. A mobile library will travel the length and breadth of the island, accompanied by food trucks, concerts, open-air cinema and exhibitions, to meet local residents and bring comics to life outside the walls. The heart of the festival will be held at La Colo, in Dolus-d'Oléron, on the weekend of June 13 and 14. The venue will host some twenty renowned authors, including Régis Loisel, Virginie Augustin, Thibaut Lambert, Julie Birmant and many others. The public can look forward to book signings, public meetings, exhibitions, round-table discussions, hands-on workshops, as well as the sale of second-hand comics and concerts. Throughout the year, we work extensively with schoolchildren on the theme of comics. The creations created by children and young people will be presented during the festival, highlighting the artistic and cultural education at the heart of the project. The Festival BD Oléron is a festive, accessible and committed week, celebrating comics in all their forms and creating links between artists, audiences and regions.
