Du 13 avril au 30 juin 2024 : exposition photographique “REGALIA - FIERTE AUTOCHTONE” par Roland LORENTE et Aline SAFFORE “Telle une ode à la culture autochtone, l’exposition offre l’occasion d’une rencontre authentique avec les Premières Nations. Elle propose de s’extraire de nos premières perceptions sur la tradition des pow-wow pour en sonder les dimensions identitaires et contemporaines. Pendant 5 ans le photographe Roland LORENTE et sa partenaire Aline SAFFORE ont parcouru près de 10 000 km dans l’Est canadien et assisté à plus de 20 pow-wow. La récolte sera riche : 30 portraits de danseurs, 30 rencontres fortes – avec des hommes, des femmes et des enfants issus de 14 nations différentes.” Du 6 juillet au 3 novembre 2024 , Emilie Grave Lavoie, en résidence de création d'arts visuels à Brouage, en provenance du Nouveau-Brunswick, Canada.

Descriptif

The building, which resembles a peasant barn, was the stronghold's first food market. In the 19th century, the building was used as a cooperage for the Halle aux Vivres, which was converted into a powder magazine in 1816.
