"Seduced for many years by the beauty of the coastline, by the light, the colors of fishing boats and huts, life around the oyster farm, the wind, the sea spray, the salt, my experience of international exhibitions and urban landscapes makes me appreciate the authenticity of wild and historic places, the emotion provided by the fauna and flora of the Marennes-Oléron basin.
Acrylic painting with a knife enables me to retranscribe all this, and the use of driftwood sometimes accentuates this authenticity, which I choose to interpret, sometimes modernizing."
